UGScan is a 3D scanning application that utilizes LiDAR technology, created for the swift scanning of a variety of objects, floor plans, and landscapes. The app facilitates the export of scan results into popular data formats such as USDZ, Obj, Ply, STL, glTF, DXF, among others, aiding users in the creation of 3D content, CAD projects, and interior design endeavors. It caters to professionals engaged in the creation of specialized user-generated 3D content.

UGScan offers four primary scanning modes:

• Object Mode: Tailored for small objects like furniture and artifacts, with export support for formats such as USDZ and Obj.
• Radar Mode: Ideal for large-scale realistic scene scanning, capable of producing textured 3D models to assist in modeling and scene preservation. Features extended scanning capabilities, measurement tools, AR views, and robust post-processing functions.
• Point Cloud Mode: Geared towards capturing large-scale raw 3D point clouds, with export options including Obj, Ply, XYZ, and CloudCompare (Bin).
• Floor Plan Mode: Designed for scanning entire house floor plans for use as interior design references. Supports export to formats like USDZ and DXF (2D/3D).

The app's data export function accommodates common point cloud and model formats. Users can share files in popular 3D formats via the sharing feature. Moreover, scan results can be shared with friends through cloud sharing, allowing impressive scans to be viewed and shared within the community.

The current version is compatible only with devices equipped with LiDAR sensors, including iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max models along with iPad Pro models launched after 2020.
